In the last 12 months, Australia has developed its own noteworthy on-demand industry.
When we kicked off earlier this year, we honestly had no idea how much the on-demand space would explode overnight. We were aware of comparable businesses in the US but it seemed as though everyone woke up one morning and decided they wanted ‘Uberise’ a vertical. We now have on-demand cleaning, food, beauty appointments, alcohol, storage, Marijuana and groceries to name a few.
The growth in these businesses has partly come from people realising the power of the sharing/crowdsourced/on-demand economy. It has also come from the consumer market shifting its attitude towards the real value of time.
In an attempt to catch up, Australia has in the last 12 months developed its own noteworthy on-demand industry. See below for our overview; apologies if we left anyone out!
